Approach

Arriving by car:

Sopron can be approached from two directions. On one hand from Austria and on the other hand from the road number 84.

Coming from the road number 84:

At the border of the city you will find a traffic circle, where you should turn in the direction of the centre (the TESCO way out is also there). After it, drive forward on the road until the next traffic circle (on the left side a car store can be found), where you should just go through. Than you arrive on the Csenger Street, go straight until the first traffic lights, and turn right. Now you will drive on the Mátyás Király Street, where you should go through until the next traffic lights. Here drive into the left stripe, and go forward on the Széchenyi Square. In the left stripe you have to turn left, so do it. After it go ahead until the Conference Centre (big yellow building) and turn left next to the building. (If you failed the turn, and you drive on the way back to the Széchenyi Square don't worry, just go one round on the one-way Széchenyi Square.) After the left turn drive 20 meters until the far corner and there turn right into the Rákóczi Street. Here drive ahead 200 meters and you will find our Hotel on the left side.

Coming from the direction of Austria:

After crossing the border you will reach the Sopron Plaza in a few kilometers. Here turn left in the direction of the centre as the signs will show as well. Then go ahead for a while. On the way there will be two traffic circles (close to the Shell petrol station and the Spar) where you should just go through. Then you will find a cross; go through until the end of the Lackner Kristóf Street. Here there will be a traffic light, where you cannot go ahead, that is why turn left. Drive forward on the Castle district (Várkerület), pass the Theatre and the deep garage by. Then you arrive to the Széchenyi Square, turn right at the first possibility and after a short while turn right again to the Rákóczi Street. After 200 meters you will see the Civitas Hotel on the left side.

Arriving by train:

If you don't want to come by taxi and you would like to watch the city by a ten minutes walk, you can just come on foot. After coming out from the train station turn left. The street will turn left in the middle, go ahead on it. Then you will arrive to a zebra crossing, cross the street and go ahead on the Erzsébet Street until the Széchenyi Square. At the corner of the Erzsébet Street and the Széchenyi Square turn left into the Rákóczi Street. On the left side of the street you will find our hotel in a few minutes.

Arriving by bus:

Bus timetable

The bus station is about 10 minutes walk from our hotel. After arriving at the bus station go into the Lackner Kristóf Street. Start going into the right direction and go until you will see a fountain forming a boy with a barrel on the other side of the street. Then turn right and go ahead on the Castle district (Várkerület) until the Széchenyi Square (there is a yellow building, the Conference Centre). This can be a five minutes walk. Turn right on the Square and turn right again after 20 meters into the Rákóczi Street. On the left side of the street you will arrive at out hotel in a few minutes.
